Also for those suffering anxiety join a cbt group as those skills are really helpful for fighting anxiety and depression and also helping you control your urges etc. There's a thought countering exercise you learn called a TEA form we learned in the cbt book by Sam Obitz that helps you keep anxiety to a minimum helps you learn how to keep intrusive thoughts away from your reality.
